Princess in Disguise
Outfit Of The Day:

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted an outfit, this one was for a night out filled with beer, pool and Brits. My dress is by Wilfred for Aritzia, my jacket is a vintage find of 7.99$, and booties are just my go to pair of wedges that match everything and are super comfy.

Really simple outfit, it’s how you wear your clothes that makes it. Walk with confidence and you’ll rule the world

So as I’m packing to move across the world, my mum is finding all these absolutely amazing vintage gems of hers and her mothers to pass on to me. I’m literally in heaven!

These are her old French-designed, black, high-waisted, leather pants from the 80’s! She used to ride a motorcycle and ‘haaaaated’ the cheap plasticy feeling leather pants used for bikes, so she spent 300$ on these bad boys. I honestly feel like a rock n roll princess in them. I can’t believe she waited this long to share them!!! Oh well, mine now :)

I love everything about this one, the wool fedora by Wilfred for Aritzia, the dark grey moto leather jacket that was given to me for free(!), the black pants that were also free (I’ve got nice friends), but what really makes this one is my top. Boldly displaying ‘Drink Drank Drunk’ across the front like I have no shame, ironically this shirt only gets worn in a state of inebriation, whatever. It used to have sleeves until I decided I hated them and cut them off, mainly because it’s a size large, it was the last one so I took it anyway. Also because I like wearing a gold bangle above my elbow on my skinny little arm and sans sleeves it is much better showcased!

I have to say I felt like a total bad ass, Erin Wasson, MK&A, Miley, call me?

Outfit Of The Day:

Since living in Toronto for the last three-and-a-half years I have to say I haven’t done very much gardening, or hiking, or anything too down and dirty. It’s safe to say I became somewhat of a snob in the way that I don’t own a single pair of sweatpants, or a single ‘slobby’ t-shirt, or shoes I’m not afraid to get dirty. And to think I used to play soccer and mountain bike all through highschool?

Anyway, Grandma wanted some help in the garden and not having anything to wear I went on a bit of a hunt… Then I found my dads old (really old) Calvin Klein work pants that are faded and covered in paint so perfectly, you’d think someone did it on purpose. Ya, DIBS! Here I’m wearing them in a ‘down and dirty in the garden’ sort of way, but with a pair of sky high stilettos and a killer blazer they’d rock the fucking sidewalk. Stay posted, that photo to come in a weeks time.

Hi all! What you’re looking at is a very simple outfit using very simple pieces, but when worn together properly make a winning combination. My shoes, nude colored booties from Forever21 for 40$ (Jeffery Campbell knock offs for a third of the price!), a pair of also Forever21 elastic waist jeggings that were 20$ and quite a steal might I add! These bad boys are comfy! My sky blue button down is actually my little brothers old elementary school uniform, it has the school initials embroidered into one of the cuffs. Since the school was shut down for accusations of cult practices I do find it to be quite the neat piece of clothing! The necklace, borrowed from my sister is very unique, I love the ‘necklace under the collar’ look that all the girls at the top of the fashion food chain are rocking lately, I definitely jumped on that trend as well! And lastly my green cargo jacket by Talula for Aritzia, just a classic, everyday piece that I’ve literally worn every day since I bought it. I’d recommend you all get one or something similar if you don’t already own one, you won’t regret it!

Well that’s all for this look! Hope you were inspired.

I wore this cute little number last week sometime, I thought it was worthy of a blog post, so here it goes!
This day I woke up feeling like a princess, so it only felt right to dress like one. What appears to be a skirt is actually a dress, my birthday dress to be exact. A cute little number I bought from Forever 21, dusty rose color, pleated, somewhat flapper inspired layers throughout. The white lace you see poking through isn’t a part of it, I happen to be taller than the average girl which means most dresses are quite short on me, so I paired this adorable (and cheap) slip with my dress and wore it underneath! I threw on a pair of tights and a knit sweater and called it a day. Those two little sparkly embellishments you see on my sweater are my clip on earrings, they hurt my ears half way through the day so I clipped them to my sweater to add a little twinkle :)

I love vintage. Love love love it! So when my gal pal suggested a trip to Value Village I jumped in her car and off we went. That’s where I found this lovely men’s tweed blazer; obviously oversized, big leather-bound buttons and elbow patches! I love tweed because it matches just about anything. The possibilities are endless! This day I paired it with a lovely burgundy skirt and my slouchy boots, the perfect balance of masculinity and femininity brought together in perfect harmony.
